# Managing & canceling

> Change your plan, update payment, restore a purchase, or cancel — and what happens to your data if you do.

You can manage your Kredz subscription wherever you bought it. Because Apple and
our web payment provider each run their own billing, the steps depend on where
you subscribed.

## If you subscribed on an Apple device

Apple manages billing for subscriptions purchased on iPhone, iPad, or Apple
Watch. To change or cancel:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Apple subscription settings">
    On your iPhone or iPad, open **Settings → \[your name] → Subscriptions**, then
    select **Kredz**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Change or cancel">
    Switch between monthly and annual, or cancel. Canceling stops the next
    renewal.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Switched to a new phone or reinstalled the app? Use **Restore Purchases** in
  Kredz settings to re-link your existing subscription.
</Tip>

## If you subscribed on the web

Web subscriptions are managed through our web payment provider's customer portal,
which you can reach from your Kredz account settings:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open billing in settings">
    Go to **Settings → Billing** in the Kredz web app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Manage your subscription">
    Update your payment method, switch plans, view invoices, or cancel.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Canceling

Canceling stops the **next** renewal. You keep full access until the end of the
period you've already paid for (or the end of your free trial). You're never
charged after you cancel.

## What happens to your data

<Info>
  Canceling ends billing — it does not delete your family. Your balances and
  history are preserved, and resubscribing picks up right where you left off.
</Info>

If a subscription lapses, your family's data stays safe; recording new
transactions resumes once you're subscribed again. To permanently remove your
account and data instead, see
[Deleting your account](/support/deleting-your-account).
